KAIJUNE

Star.png

KaiJune is a monthly art challenge that encourages people to participate by drawing gigantic monsters, known as Kaiju. For this challenge, I created illustrations reminiscent of drawings found in

children's books, such as those by Dr. Seuss. I even incorporated the prompts into the artworks,

giving them the appearance of poster headlines.

A flower dragon blowing fire on a hilltop
A large hammerhead shark jumping out of the water
A snow leopard prowling through the snow

The prompt for this piece was "bloom." Drawing inspiration from the demogorgon
in Stranger Things, I created a monster with a flower-shaped head

The prompt for this illustration was "hammer."
I wanted to create a piece that was reminiscent of the iconic 'Jaws' poster, capturing the same dynamism and impact of the original.

The prompt for this artwork was "needle." I wanted to create a creature that bore a resemblance to existing animals while still being entirely unique.

A man on a cliff facing off against a large, red demon
A large, transparent, serpent-like creature lurking through the night on a full moon

The prompt for this composition was "legend."
Drawing inspiration from the legends of Asuras and the Minotaur, I depicted a valiant hero engaged in combat with a giant monster.

The prompt for this image was "cloak." I went with the "obscured" definition of cloak and created an invisible serpent that slowly reduces in transparency lurking through the night.
